It seems like we definitely agree on Indy and Pascal Siakam, everything you said is totally true for me as well! As far as Monty Williams I do totally understand where you’re coming from and you have some really solid points about the current roster and the Front Office in general. It has absolutely been a mess and totally unacceptable! I agree that the Pistons were never making the playoffs this season with any coach, and also that Monty Williams was a mistake hire especially with the contract they gave him. However, all that being said, I still believe that mistakes that are made in the past should not persist in the future if they don’t have to. We can agree that Monty didn’t have much to work with, but I also think there’s a good chance that his vision for the future of this team was probably very different from what the new ownership and front office has in mind. Only time will tell whether or not they know better than him, but I think there’s a clear clash of ideas here. And while he the roster was poor, I still believe they underperformed this season. Again, this isn’t even a Play-in team, but to me, this roster is at least better than 14 wins. Especially from a team that for a good chunk of the season, was actually trying to win games lol they were 8-39 in 10pt games and 1-7 in 3pt games. Again this was clearly a young roster with a lack of talent, but they were in a ton of close games this season and a lot of times didn’t execute, it’s not like they’re been blown off the floor 82 times. Some of that has to be on a veteran head coach in my opinion. I totally respect and can definitely understand your point of view on this subject, and I mostly agree on your assessment of the season and past for Detroit. I think we just disagree on what they should do about it moving forward! Appreciate you so much for taking the time to give your input and feedback on my videos! Can’t tell you how much it means! ​@@DeHave Without their draft picks, the worst thing they can do is roll into 2025-2026 on shaky ground because all of this years' EC playoff teams have a busy 2025 and 26 free agency situation. It's going to get hectic and expensive very quickly and the Cavs aren't the ideal free agency destination. He seems to like the pageantry of the dance between signing an extension or not so if they're planning the franchise around him then I'd hope in-turn he'd commit early so that they can figure out the rest of the pieces sooner than later. They have 8 of their 11 players UFA or RFA in 25 and 26 so Mitchell needs to either commit to be the cornerstone of what the team looks like come 2027 or get out of the way.

How about the part where he led his team to the NBA Finals at 25 years old? That part was missing in your description of him. Not only that, he did it by defeating a few hall of famers in the first round, runner up for MVP and 1 seed in the second round, and the best defense in the league in WCF. And he did it on a bad knee. I’m not saying he’s perfect but those things happened, sounds like a generational player to me? Also other than Kyrie Irving and PJ Washington at times who exactly was supposed to be handling the ball for the Mavs? I’m also not sure if I agree with the fact that the Rockets haven’t offered a similar package to what you stated, it does appear by all accounts rn (they are rumors but again, that’s all we have) that the Nets are not interested in trading Bridges. It has been made clear by the organization with moves that we know they’ve made in the past, a long term rebuild is not the plan. Again I do genuinely appreciate your feedback and input but I will have to disagree slightly. But I hope we can both respectfully agree to disagree! 🙏🏻💛

@@DeHave No disrespect intended...none at all. I have been following the Rockets since 1972 along with all their drafts. Trust me when I say that these rumors float around long before the internet and before you were born...the disinformation it is part of the game. I have found that a little logic and knowing your team will give you indications on whether or not your hearing facts or rumors. Remember, it takes BOTH sides of a trade to make it happen...most fans (being fans) will only look at what is good for their team and not consider if the other team is TRULY getting good value or if it fits the direction the team is heading. Over the years, I have learned that it can be hard to try to figure out if trade rumors are true or not, because I only follow the Rockets (very closely) and I honestly don't really know the other team and all the info that is concerning them. It is hard enough to keep up with analyzing what the Rockets are doing. But, I can apply my knowledge to the Rockets' side of it. Here is an example regarding one of the Bridges to Rockets trades: The Brooks + all or some of the Nets' picks for Bridges. Although it matches on cap and seems like a plug and play fit since they are both SF and yes Bridges is a upgrade...does not mean Houston would want this deal and here is why: First: Bridges is not a huge upgrade over Brooks (Bridges is way overrated by the Nets and their fans...he is NOT a Batman or even a Robin on a championship team...he is a good 3rd or 4th type option or major role player). He would be a marginal upgrade over Brooks (go look at the stats for this is obvious), thus giving back a #3 + 2025 swap and 2026 pick (both in loaded drafts) and the 2027 swap would be value for someone that is a Robin or near Batman. Second: Stone (GM) would not throw away the #3 pick or the opportunity at getting more lottery picks for a marginal upgrade at SF. MOF, if you follow Stone's MO he is a very calculating GM (pulled off the Harden trade when everybody was saying he got screwed (not me) and they laughed at him, while he smiled and said it will take 10 years to fully grade this trade). He also does a great job at analytics of talent. This becomes obvious by looking at his 9 first rounders since he took over for Morey as GM right before the Harden trade. He hit on 6 of the 9 picks for a 67% success rate (not missing on any of the six top 20 picks)...this is outrageous success in the NBA. Plus, if you know your trade partner team (for you is the Rockets) then you would know that the Rockets were the first team that brought analytics to the NBA (during Morey's era). People give Morey the credit, but Stone (as a assistant) was in charge of setting up and running the analytics department. Another words, Stone is a great judge of NBA talent, thus it shows. My point is, Stone is not going to make a poor trade like the Nets did...he knows the facts on players. Third, on Feb 1, 2024, Stone traded for Adams (injured) for their backup center for this coming season (playoff push). This move cemented Brooks remaining in Houston for at least one more year and as long as Adams is a Rocket, because they were teammate and an instrumental part of two championship runs for Memphis as #2 seeds. Also, last offseason (when Udoka became head coach) Stone brought in 4 vets on big contracts...FVV 2 year max with a 3rd team option, Brooks 4 years on a declining pay rate, Jeff Green on a one year with a one year team option and Landale for one year with 3 more team option years. My point here is that Brooks in the only full guaranteed contract and it gets cheaper by the year...this show commitment to him and incentive to keep him. Forth: You have to listen to the GM's comments and this is very important. Stone has repeatedly said that THEY (Owner, GM and Coach) love the players they have (young core and vets), but they will always explore trade options for a great deal that would improve their direction. As I have pointed out, I doubt that Stone would trade Brooks at all. Now, I do think he is seriously exploring trading Jalen Green, but not for a starting SF, because they are committed to Brooks and the other young SFs they have. Thus, this JG for Bridges was also never a serious rumor. I also laugh at the JG + all those picks for Bridges rumor. JG (#2 overall pick) is a better player and has more potential talent than Bridges. The trade would have to be JG for Bridges + a couple of future 1st round draft picks. Net fans (most all fans) are so gullible. Peace and good luck with the Nets...I mean that.

Even with Brooklyn back then, selling their future for aging KG, Pierce and Terry for what I believe were some of the picks that ended up being Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum! That’s a great point actually, he would certainly want a rookie scale max and honestly the market would probably say he should get it. I would not love that for the Rockets so that is a great point! Maybe you see if he makes a leap early next season before you decide? Or if you can get someone to come in and do what he does more efficiently you get what you can for him? No, he’s a crybaby 100%. The only way he’s going to win anything is if he pulls LeBron James and goes to some stack team. You can’t expect a team to just be able to watch someone dribble around for 20 minutes of the game and just hit threes and be in rhythm when they never get the ball. It’s a huge flaw in Luka’s game.

I agree that he played a big role in game 3 as far as losing. I don’t agree with putting an entire game on one player in general. The role players have been bad every game of this series point blank period. I don’t know if you watched the Windy video or this full video but a ton of people are saying Luka will never win a championship until he grows up and gets over this foul baiting. I find that extremely wrong and I didn’t even mention in this video how he’s extremely banged up. Like legitimately injured rn. I hear you, and I agree that game 3 was a really bad one for him. If he plays up to his standards start to finish, they could’ve won. But I think it’s an extreme overreaction to be focusing most of the attention on Luka of all people for the way this series has gone.
